Why Early Access?

“We plan to develop this game with the community adding a ton more content. We will continue to try and balance multiplayer PVP. Additionally we plan to add more multiplayer game modes, expand upon single player and co-op PVE as well as adding more boss fights and working on some exploration style story driven maps.

The reason we are in early access is we feel the game is already a full game but we want to get the communities thoughts and advance this game. Our only goal is to make the best game we can!”

“Approximately 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“in the full game, we plan to have many more "beast" boss fights. Additionally we will try and implement more multiplayer maps and game modes.

We plan to expand upon single player and intend to create story driven maps.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently fully playable, we are just working on adding more content and fixing some bugs. We also currently have 4 fully animated enemies implemented with the only thing missing being an AI to control them. In terms of maps, we currently have 3 maps in the game: the locker room where you can practice using the weapons and meet up with friends before the battle, the arena where fights can take place upon a large stage with a crowd of NPC's watching and cheering you on and the jungle where you are able to hide and sneak up on your opponent by utilizing the foliage for cover. Lastly, we have 8 weapons that are fully implemented in the game and work as intented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to discount users who participate in the early access phase of the game's development. However, we do not have any plans to change the price of the final game after release.”

Fight in front of a blood thirsty crowd as a Sci-Fi Gladiator in Swords of Gurrah. Swords of Gurrah is a virtual reality game focused around hand-to-hand combat weapons. Fighters come from all over of their own free will to risk their lives against man or beast!!!! Fight to the death all to experience the thrill of victory - and if defeated to die for glory!

Gurrah is a single player and multiplayer online game. It takes skill beyond typical gaming to keep up: swing, slice, slash, dodge, duck, and destroy. VR does amazing things to bring life-like hand-to-hand combat into your home.

The Weapons:
These weapons are designed to shatter and regrow on every collision. This allows you to block and parry in a way previously never before seen in Virtual Reality due to the limitations of the technology. No longer will VR sword fighting feel clunky and inconsistent; the weapons are light weight, fluid but pack a punch.

Gurrah has a wide selection of weapons: one hand swords, shields, glaives, spears, axes, heavy-class swords, double-sided sabers, daggers, and throwing stars. Select and train, the choice is yours!

The Beasts:
The arena presents many threats to keep gladiators on their toes. Fully armored bulls, tigers, hydras and more are ready for battle. Bred and bio-engineered to fight with ferocity. Each beast presents a new challenge, testing the ability of a warrior to adjust on the fly. The crowd must be entertained!
